Oh dear! Have I scared you away with all my posts? If it's a matter of $, please let me know and we can work out something. I have no set scale and am just starting out doing this (have only done it for friends and relatives before this and they just bought the yarn - didn't pay me anything) so I can get my stuff out there and photographed so that I can eventually sell it on Etsy or somethibg like that. I'm a very good crocheter (been doing it for 35 years), just never did it as a biz before...
If you don't need to, don't pay for a pattern - there are many free patterns that are gorgeous and available via the Internet. That's how many designers start out, and how many bloggers spread the word about neat patterns they've discovered.
I would love to do this for you, Celtic! My email is email@example.com. The easiest thing is for you to find patterns you like and send me the link so I can look and be sure they're doable for me - I only do crochet (no knitting). I will then tell you what yarn is needed and you can order it online from Michael's Crafts or JoAnn's or from of the yarn vendors (such as Lion Brand, Caron, Red Heart, etc) and have it shipped to me c/o my husband's work address (I do that because someone is always there to receive and sign for it). He brings it to me. You and I can decide together what the fee will be for my work. Example - a shawl usually takes about 4-6 hours to make, unless it's really complicated,; an afghan takes from 8-10 hours to make unless it's complicated. I will give you an estimate of the hours needed once I see the pattern you've chosen. Have you thought of fingerless gloves? I have Reynaud's too and they help me a lot. There are also many crochet patterns out there for those and that would be really cheap. Most skeins of wool in the US come in 3.5 ounce weight. We can talk more details later. Happy St. Paddy's!!
Ohai CT! Thank you for accepting the friend request. Once I return home from my brief holiday..another week or so, I will be in touch again, so that I can fill you in a little more on Kittycatlion's story. Brightest blessings...luv Cazz xo
