I love your curative attitude! Or should it be cattitude. I'm sorry if it sounded like I was telling you what to do but I think you read it with my intentions just to tell you what I've read and seen. I tell you what, I sure wish there'd been sun screen when young(er)... got lots of big, deep wrinkles. Maybe I'll call it my face of character. yeah! lol. Take care of yoo.
I was glad to hear (read) that the surgery went so well and that you're feeling better, my sweet friend. I'd EDd Syl and Booboo. I used to hear that the product Mederma works well to heal scarring. I recall anyone I spoke to about it said you really have to start early and keep using it faithfully. It's pricey so get the BIG tube LOL. Then I just looked it up here online and a dermatologist said Vaseline should do the same thing (tho she had no studies to back this up). The other thing you might recall with scars is to stay out of the sun! And last, make up some exotic or exciting stories about how you got that scar so you can 'wow' the people who are rude enough to ask... it made my day when I did that. Mwuahahaha. Kidding aside, I'm so happy they got rid of what wasn't asposed to be there and you're the better for it. Big healing hugs, xox
Popped in to ED and so very glad to hear you are getting better and the surgery was successful. I assue a biopsy was done and it was OK. Scars do fade with time and sounds like you found a prouduct that helps a lot. You could also make a consult appt with a plastic surgeon if your insurance would pay for it and he/she may have some other ideas. I had 3 abdominal surgeriess in two years and have a real railroad track going on but at my age (actually at an age I ever was), bikinis were never on the fashion menu :) Continued healing thoughts and many hugz
Aw, sorry your head is still hurtin' and hope it's only because there's still some healing taking place yet.. my job is going to help put some food on the table, because each week, we nearly run completely out.. right down to wondering if we can get a loaf of bread.. so your prayers and all your help has been wonderful, so thanks again!
I kinda figured you would be really concerned about the scar and that's why I brought it up. You can't imagine right now how this will ever look good again but I can promise you it will. And I just used a cheapy cream from Walmart!
That's all wonderful news! I haz a HUGE happy that you are getting better and grateful to God above that the surgeon was able to get to that tumor so successfully. Isn't it amazing that when you start to feel better that it's a feeling you haven't had for so long that you almost forgot what that feels like! I remember when my carotid artery was operated on it was late fall and cold enough to wear sweaters and those large floppy turtleneck tops. The nurse at the time said that I was going to be really thrilled about how small the incision was and that it would heal to practically nothingm She was right about that but when it came time to change the bandages the first time I had to hang on the the bathroom sink and take DEEP breaths to keep from passing out! I am such a wuss it was the same a few months ago when my cat had a cancerous tumor removed I could barely pet him due to the incision!
Thanks, Foxy. I think the interview went well, not perfect, but well. They gave me a little test, correcting a document, at the end and I missed a couple of small items but I found some that they hadn't noticed. I would really, really, like to get on with this company, they're a good, solid, firm, growing and the other employees like it there. Besides, they're only 7 miles from my home...instead of 47.
