I agree that when series go on for too long they can get boring. I had also read that Under the Dome lasted much longer than originally planned-it was just supposed to be one season. I agree that it was time for FS to end. Did you see the finale? Was it a happy ending? You're right that Grimm is still exciting. I can't wait for it to start again. What did you think of the second episode of FtWD? I wish a new episode was on this coming Sunday, but because it's a holiday weekend here, they will wait until the 13th to air the third episode. It's a lot slower than TWD, but I think that works for it. Yeah, the other shifts aren't very good. I can eat snacks during them, but I have to wait until I get home to eat either lunch or dinner, depending on which shift it is. I worked the 2-8 and Saturday 9-5 shift for two years. It sucked. The trainees didn't do as well on their own today as I had hoped. They asked a lot of questions that we had covered before. I wish they had asked before. I hope tomorrow. It was kind of overwhelming, and no one was there to help me. I think this should be the last batch of trainees for a while, and I sure hope it is. How was your day? Watch any shows? Have a great Thursday :) *hugs*

I'm glad you're enjoying The Strain. I think I would enjoy it too. I just found out today that this was the last season for Under the Dome. I know you liked that show. What is your favorite type of pancake? Mine is pumpkin. I just love stuff with pumpkin, especially coffee and bread. This week I am working 2-8, and will work 9-5 Saturday. Next week I will be 8-5 to help prepare for the Alabama trip. It will be 8-5 in Alabama too, I think. When I get back, I will start rotating 6-2 or 12-8, and with a Saturday every month or so. I will miss my 9-6 shift. lol Did you watch FS? How was the ending? I watched the first episode of FtWD last night, and thought it was really good. I plan to watch the second episode tonight, and then start on FS after that. Last Sundog we had Italian food, and I had chicken parmesean. It was good. The trainees did okay today, and tomorrow they will start working on their own. How was your day? Have a great Wednesday :) *hugs*

It's probably best to not have any distractions during the FS finale. I hope to start catching up this week. How has the new season of The Strain been? That's one I want to watch too. It's a shame Dark Matter didn't stand out. It looked good. I've never had a salmon pancake before, but it sounds good. The weather here has been hot and humid, but with very little rain. I hope it cools off soon. The weather here has been pretty much the same, and some years we don't get enough rain. Sundog was good. I just went out to eat. Today went alright with the trainees. I just don't like the afternoon shift. How was your day? Watch any shows? Have a great Tuesday :) *hugs*

It was wonderful. No party - just a lovely day and evening at home. We had just had a large party for friends the weekend before sowas all partied out. Oh yes, crcker with creams cheese and cucumber! I also like bread and butter with sliced garden tomatoes and a little salt and pepper. Mmmm good. Oh yeah, have to keep Bryan busy with projects as he does get bored easily if he doesn;t hae something to do and he is not one to sit down and enjoy reading a book for hours. He does like to play Ga to hear work is picking up at Andre's plave of work. Never want to see people let go nd have to worry about money to take care of themselves and their families. A salmon pancake?? I do mank salmon pattties and fry them up but not in a pancake :) xo

I hope killing the characters on Defiance won't be bad for the show. I worry that The Walking Dead might turn out like that if too many more die. I hope FS has a happy ending, but like you, I don't think it will for everyone. How was your day? Did you get the banana pancake? That sounds delicious. I did get Mexican food, which was enchiladas this time. They were pretty good. Did you watch any shows? Have a great Monday :) *hugs*

LOL! No, I never saw Badpiper before, but what a ham! He makes all those crazy faces with fire shooting out behind his head - that alone made me LOL!!! For years, I've dreaded someone making recordings of heavy metal bagpipes, and here's my nightmare come to life! What's almost as funny is that, while he sells CDs and does studio work, there he is, performing on the street, just to see the looks on people's faces, I guess!! Thanks for one of the best laughs I've had today.

I hope the trainees will be a good bunch too. I'm glad TLS is very good, and that not all of the characters they killed on Defiance were favorites of yours. Sometimes when a show kills off too many characters, it ends up hurting the show. I wonder how the FS finale will turn out tomorrow. How were the pancakes with your mother in law? How was your day? Mine was alright. I didn't get anything at the mall. Did you watch any shows? Have a great Sundog :) *hugs*

Thanks or the Happy dear one! I know you and cake get along really, really well so I'm sending a piece back to you with hugs :) You know am the same way about the age on kids. I am just not that good with communicating with the younger ones and the older the gkids get the more i am enjoying them. But then I have never been the typical "goo goo cute kiddie" Grandma :) That much rain isn't typical for you this time of year is it? I did grow sunflowers! They love the sun and heat here but do not grow as high as they did in WA. So far we have enjoyed all the veggies from the greenhouse. It is just the right sized garden as compared to the way too big one I had in WA. We still have cucumbers, Swiss chard, carrots, tomatoes and onions getting ripe. The season will not be as late here as WA but that is OK because once it starts getting colder I am ready to do ndoor stuff. Bryan keeps talking about putting another itty run off the outdoor enclosure along the house but so far I have ben able to talk him out of it. The kitties have enough outdoor space Ithink - he doesn't LOL Oooh pancakes sounds lovely? With all kinds of toppings like strawberries an whip whip? I am sorry he ha to drive on Sundays as the eekends are the only times you have together but I hope it is late sun afternoon. Kids here don;t go bak to school until the day after Labor Day which is the Mon, 7th of Sep here. A lovely weekend to you. xooxo

14 is better than 24, which is what was originally planned. I'm surprised I still had 14 today. I thought a few would leave. It is a lot to train, but hopefully if it goes well, I won't have to have another big group for a while. I haven't watched anything at all since I can't stay awake long enough to. I hope to watch something tomorrow night, probably FtWD. Then I will start FS and The Last Ship. I'm glad Defiance was good. Were the people they killed major characters and some of your favorites? My day was alright. The trainees did pretty good today. How was your day? Any weekend plans? Just the usual ones here-mall and dinner out for Mexican food. Have a great Caturday :) *hugs*

Thanks so much for the gratz! I got a new phone the other day and immediately installed the Cheez burger app but I couldn't get to my profile until I uninstalled it! Baby steps with the new technology!

Oh my, long time no chat. I ED that you went to a kids birthday party. I can take those for maybe 2 hours max :) All our gkids are older now so their parties are not as noisy any more. Our gdaughter just turned 15 last Sun - can't believe she is a oung lady now. ED that you have had a lot of rain - we need it so badly - send some our way with so manywidfires in the West. Your country certainly has had to mitigate flooding issues with so much of your land practically below sea level. Anything fun planned for the weekend?

I'm sorry you have to deal with heat and humidity. They've tried to do something about the floods, but it doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. The drownings are usually caused when people drive into areas they shouldn't and then get swept away. The training class will be down to 14 since 4 of them had their assignments ended for attendance issues. That will be a little easier to handle. I'm glad you had fun at the streetfair and bought a nice bag at a good price. I didn't watch anything last night because I was too tired. I will try to watch FTWD tonight. Most of the trainees did ok, but a few of them struggled. Two of them were the ones who were cut, so I think that's best. How was your day? Watch any shows? Have a great Thursday :) *hugs*
