Awwww - the poor cat! You can call a male Candy as in John Candy. My idea was to give her a name that sounds like the one she is used to. I got another cat named Tassy but changed it to Tazzy because she reminded me of another cat we had who looked like a Tasmanian devil. By the way, do you get the Pet Press in your area? It is a local magazine devoted to animal rescue. It has a lot of good rescue stories. There was a two part article on Jenna Fischer who has rescued some cats who looked really hopeless. You can Google the Pet Press.
Roxanne is a good name. My big black fluff ball was named Fred by her previous owners because they didn't know she was a female. She is very big for a female. I changed her name to one that sounded feminine and similar to the one she answered to - Fareeda.
What happens is when you post a photo after that no matter what you do, they have designated it the first and only. It will never change unless you change the photo to another. That photo is toast. I've tried it every possible way.
