I'm a pet groomer, which means I have a good few dozen cats and dogs I consider mine, they just don't live with me. :)
In the realm of pets I actually own and keep, there are two. I have a pacific parrotlet named Sweetums (after the muppet), who I'm (not) sorry to say, is both smarter and cuter than your honor roll student. Oh, and I have a California king snake named Hans the Kat (because he's a hep kat, he's with it, he's on the ball!) ...
