While the "wish we could do something" feeling is understandable, there's no way Bryan and company can learn that quickly. If nursing was that easy... If I don't delete messages I forget to answer some. Also, this way the number of messages = the number of music lols I've written (approximately), a number I like to follow. Hope that cat is well behaved around candles. ****** (you wrote: By SovaPlum on Jul 29, 2016 at 1:31 AM Oahi! Bak frum dinner anna movie. Onna couch wif a kitteh. __ Archive? Y u do dat? I don't know how srys Emmers was bout that. Sylviag has lots of friends here. But we can't force it on B & S. It occurs to me that enuff munnies for a R.N to come round for a day and teach B and son the basics of moving some one and some of that delicate stuff. I jsut so very much want to DO sumfing to help. (Archive: By SovaPlum on Jul 28, 2016 at 11:23 PM If we are to do any such thing it would have to be o.k.ed by Bryan. I confess I'm clueless about how to run crowd funding. The only end I see of such things is very straight forward. typy, typy, clickety, clickty. Job dun. There was a crowd-fund campaign eariler this year in NZ to buy some land to donate to a National Park (National Parks are HUGE here) where the pledged munnies would only be taken from accounts if the bid won the land. So I guess it can be done as lump sums e.g. every 3 days or some such. *scratches head* Dunno if that would suit here. Maybe Emmers had something in mind ? )

To do what? To run an online fundraiser, e.g. GoFundMe? Not sure Bryan would go for that. It's too uncertain, for one thing. You need a lot of money, for an indefinite period, and you need to be able to count on it continuing to come in. More to the point, the money may not get to him fast enough. (Not sure about that one.)

re coming home lol: barring a munnies miracle, Sylvia won't be home for long. (Let me do the archive deal: By SovaPlum on Jul 28, 2016 at 10:00 PM Ohai c.u.a! Bout the time? I was wondering if the 3:16am on your earlier msg last night was your own time. Looks like it was. Which means N.Z time is about 20 hurs ahead you. ___ I know what you mean about not wanting to believe it until it's too late. I've seen enough of this heart-rending illness to know how it can turn on a dime. Of all diseases, cancer is the one where miracles are just around the corner. Ever since I saw a doco about the history of how medical science advanced to understanding how cancer, and therefore Spontaneous Remission, works the one thing I never give up is HOPE. I'm sorry my meme came across pessimistic. I always feel candles in the window symbolize waiting for GOOD news! By SovaPlum on Jul 28, 2016 at 10:02 PM P.S. Yrs it was my time, and 20 is correct. You could also have derived the time difference by adding the UDT/GMT offsets. Current offset for U.S. Pacific Time is -08:00. For New Zealand, it's +12:00. By higher mathematics, 8+12=20. Yeah, I've seen it up close and personal. Do you know, the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) was established as "an emergency organization, a temporary organization" in 1917! But yes, some succumb quickly, some hang on for years. Sylvia may yet beat the odds, long though they may be. I pray! Thanks for explaining the reasoning behind your lol. s'okay, I'm overly sensitive now. Sorta-thanks re friends. Wasn't looking for it, I only did it for Sylvia. All I had to do was accept all the pending requestors who are interested in the updates and request another likewise interested handful. If you care, the number is 64, more than half the 116 I had before.

Terrible sleepless night here. Was 4:10am when you messaged, now getting close to 5:00am. On your messages, does it say your local time or Cheez HQ time, i.e. US west coast (Pacific Time)? That's me.Well...maybe I'm too close. I know what I'm looking at all too well but I don't want to believe it until it's no longer deniable. I'm not letting go that easily. (You wrote: By SovaPlum on Jul 28, 2016 at 4:19 AM Ohai c.u.a! Yus I guess it is a kinda deathwatch. Every night, before I head off to bed I check for a Sylviag update. I'm happy and relived she's still here. But as I go to bed my last thought is to hope she's still here in the morning. Bed time has become an ambivalent time for me, aifinkso. __ Is 11:10 pm for me. What time for you?)

Hi Sova. I'm sorry I'm not up for LOLspeak today. I will be again, I promise, because our convos are too fun and I really enjoy them... I'm so glad you've got your life back from the big bad evil job! Enjoy the hell out of it! Sorry... I'm just so very sad about Sylviag's situation. It's been hard to even be at ICHC lately, though I know she'd want me - and everyone - to have the same joy here that you're having away from work. I'm gonna try and make a couple LOLs after I finish this letter, though even that doesn't sound too fun, given what I've heard about some of the builders being borked. ++ New Athena is working out, though there are lots of advanced tech-ish things we're still not used to. Mark had a good 2 week break during his company's annual maintenance shutdown. We spent 1 week at his folks' farm helping, but more difficulty there, as his 89-year-old dad's health is going. Mark's back on 2nd shift now, but even with the heat he prefers it because that schedule is just so ingrained in him. (Me too.) ++ Thanks for the frozen lawn. It felt great, as it arrived just when temps were at their hottest. It's cooled off some, down to the mid 20'Cs for a couple days and now back up to the low 30s. But it's slowly going back up. Hey, It's July in Kansas. ++ Again, sorry for seeming gloomy. You go have double portions of fun for the both of us, 'Kay? *Places large box of hot, windy Kansas air and sunshine on the transporter, presses Engage!*
