Hi. Old biz: re ""Nights in White Castle" - brilliant!," I've got to make it clearer when a parody is not mine. Maybe write "Not mine!"? It's a verbatim quote/copy of a song heard on Dr Demento. (See comments, if you care.) You're welcome on the links. Still nagging issues, not sure I want to be here much or resume ML. Going to make a few lols and will grab anything that comes in while I'm on, but otherwise please keep an eye out. Thanks.
I was thinking Peep Fact lols could be interesting, so i did one for me. http://cheezburger.com/8572775168 ICHC put it up for voting with the tags Grandpa caption typewriter Cats funny. Must have peaked someones interested in cheez central
Re the Plaidness: I had planned to visit her in August and drop on down to see you at the (now) ex-shelter. Misc issues intervened. We cut trip short to be near a special family member in dire illness. (THAT is STILL ongoing!) NOW I'm regretting not having been able to drop by her digs! Still no contact. Still can't get away from here.. Mutual friend of ours warned against just showing up at her place, anyway. So it goes. Thx, BGCM
I heard about the controversial ending to the game when I checked my phone before work. It's a shame the game had to come down to that. Hopefully they'll do better the rest of the season. I had never heard of that cake either, but it was really good. How is your MIL doing? I'm sure Bryan wasn't looking forward to his crown prep. How was your day? Mine was alright, though I still felt like a zombie. It didn't help that we had a bad storm that woke me up. We also had a tornado warning today, which is very rare for us. I don't know how Annie wakes up at 3:20. I can barely manage waking up at 4:30 for this lousy shift. Have a great Wednesday :)
Good morning, Syl! Things are busy here - Still training for the 1/2 marathon. It's not until December 5th. The adoptions are going steady at about 2 or 3 a week lately. No big banner weeks for a while. We still have some kittens available, 8 to be exact. One adorable little black and white tuxie who was born blind. Her name is Anna, and you would not believe how sweet she is! My IT friend got a promotion and he has been transferred back to San Antonio as of the 5th of this month. He and his beautiful cat are doing well, thanks for asking! Can you resend me your new emayo addy, please? I think I still have your old one because I sent you a Jacquie Lawson birthday card and I never got a delivery confirmation :-) Oops! Glad to hear you and Bryan are going to volunteer with the Spay and Neuter clinic. We work with a low cost spay and neuter group here and give TNR training classes monthly too. I don't get involved with that aspect of our outreach though. Just take care of the kitties in the adoption center. Had another episode with the termites in the same spot!! Exterminator is not charging me for the treatment or the repairs, thank ceiling cat! This time he had to move a cabinet and remove some drywall in addition to the door molding. He's coming back again today to make sure they are all gone, then we will do the repairs - again!! GRRRR! Sorry to hear you're having back problems - do you have a lot of side effects from the cortisone treatments? My mom used to take cortisone when her MS flared up, and the side effects for her were very uncomfortable.
I'd have to say that neither is on my preferred topic list but if conversations are based on what goes on in life, it's hard to avoid poop and barf...and how MILs might fit into that mix. Not fun we deal with whatever life deals us. I suppose that for those that don't have someone helping out then the interview process you guys went through yesterday might uncover some real needs. Let's just be glad that's not the case for MIL. she's lucky to have you looking out for her. Earlier in their retirement my folks used to say they didn't know how they found time to go to work since they had so many errands to run. You've fortunate to have lots of people in your lives that you can help. That leads to longer to-do lists. It wasn't the authors contention that slaves were ahead of the game. He's reporting a school of thought in the South from that time. It's way too early for me to speculate about his underlying philosophy. So far he's appeared non-judgemental and seems to be just reporting balls and strikes as they come up. The foundation setting that he's going through is rather tedious though. I'm hoping that we transition to a different narrative soon. I'm only about 70 pages into it. It can be tough to stay within Swiss borders. Let's hope a diplomatic opportunity arises without you being perceived as an ally to either side. Maybe the hope ought to be that both sides recognize that you're an ally to both sides and that's not a bad thing. Wow...tie dye...I don't know that I've ever actually worn tie dye. I'm pleased to receive the honor, though.
I'm glad your dinner was great!! The food sertenly sounds fantastic!! My favorite meal.... I can't help but to love fast food!!! Got to eat fries once a week!! And I do like potato stew with whatever (like kale) very much too! Uhmmm, I don't really know the names of the flowers. I do love those begonia's, and I love to mix same flowers/plants, but in different colors, in one pot a lot. Norton works great. It's a little more expencive, but it does the job just great!! It's raining over here today, but I'm not complaining!! I've seen the floods you're having in the US on tv!! Horrible!!
