they always get cookies and nip for their birthdays, Christmas, thanksgiving that sort of thing. I tried buying some turkey deli meat for them last year for thanksgiving and molly ate a little bit of it(I didn't give but a tiny taste) and dusty sniffed it and ran off lol. I guess he decided it was already dead so not worth the catch. I used to get my kittehs a toy for their birthday but now they own every toy ever made that doesn't have a feather. dusty eats feathers, so none of those. maybe that's why he was suspicious of the turkey, it's feathers weren't there. blackie sounds like he was a really sweet kitteh. my kittehs I have now don't care to sit next to me. dusty might run up to me like he just did now but he's licking his lips(just ate a little gushy fud) but he'll run off again in a second. I go to pet him and he turns around. I go to pet molly and she runs off. I don't know why, I spoil them rotten :( patches was my snugglemuffin. when he was a kitten he'd cry if I sat him down so of course I wasn't allowed to go to work, or shopping, or school, or anywhere. when he got older and I was allowed to sit him down he would see me headed to sit down and he'd anticipate my actions and run and meet me on the couch. I try not to play favorites and I do have things I love about each one but patches was my favorite little snugglemuffin, I can't help it
molly still lays like that on the couch lol. that's why I made that lol that says "yup I think I like this spot" every time I look at that picture I think it looks exactly like her but with a small body attached to her normal sized head :)
molly has a birthday at the end of the month. she'll be 7. wow...they need to stop with all the birthdays, they're making me older! lol. molly says dusty needs to stop with all the butt wiggles and pounces, she just wants to nap and get ear scritches
i'm glad things are going better for you! i'll be glad when the election is over too. dusty loves playing with whatever is under the covers. what's best is that molly likes being under the covers. so she'll bury her way under there and she'll move around then dusty hops up on the bed and sees something moving so he pounces on her and she gets back and neither knows what is really going on.
When you weren't looking at the opossums, I guess you "didn't" see Pogo. He is retired now that he is three and a half years old (average life span of an opossum is three years). That means he doesn't go out for programs and isn't brought into the main building for tours either, but he is well cared for and lives with the other two opossums. That's Buddy in the LOL. He is quite impressive. Eagles are very difficult to train and work with, but he has become fond of his primary handler and does very well for her and the other select few who handle him This video shows his enclosure, which is fondly referred to as The Buddy Dome: http://tinyurl.com/gqjjbam and this is a video of his trainer, Raina, feeding him: http://tinyurl.com/zwtews2 These are YouTube videos. I shortened them to make sure they will work for you. If you want to see more videos from the Center, just put Wildlife Center of VA in the YouTube search box. They have many up there. If you add Jaz to the name in the search box, you will find two videos of her. She is quite smart. I'm enjoying the flexibility of the Beta Builder but do miss speech and thought bubbles. If you see the mess I've made of them, you already know that though. At least peeps can tell what they are--I hope.
