I agree that Miles had big shoes to fill, and we know schools generally aren't very patient anyway. I don't think the Dodgers will get far. They had a lot of trouble scoring runs Sunday and aren't doing much tonight either. Vin is not calling the series in San Diego. I know he will call the game in San Francisco Sunday, but I don't know if he will call all the games there. I doubt it though. It's sad thinking that the last time with him is upon us. The Cubs have been so quirky in playoffs before, so I don't assume anything about them. They certainly have the talent to take it all. You may be right about the Red Sox. Have a good Wednesday.

You're welcome. No, the firing of Les Miles came as no surprise, and you may well be right about Kelly. ND has looked terrible so far.

Congrats on your friends of the eaten bird Lolcats FP! I suspect some of your other recent LOLs will hit the FP too. The Cowgirls seem to have found a quarterback--too bad Jones will go right back to Romo as soon as he's cleared to play.

I'm so sorry to hear your aunt isn't doing well! Ordering in is good too! ;-) Did you buy anything at the mall? And where did you go to eat? I did finish the mirror. And it turned out as good as the coat rack. They fit perfecty together now :-D I bought a very old small wooden suitecase at the restore shop this weekend. It's really cool, because it's laced with velvet on the inside. It needs to be fixed a little (small scraches on the lid), so I'm going to pimp (mazaik) that one too :-D And we did the grocery shopping as usual. We did also order some plants for the hedge. And a small tree for the backyard. They'll arrive early November. By that time we can take down the fence, and replace it with the beech hedge. And the tree is an American sweetgum. I hope TWD won't drag either. It's not as good as it was anymore, as it is. Well...... considering Ricks track record with woman...... Wow, so many series started up again!! And I haven't even seen most of the previous seasons yet!! Like OUaT. Hope you had a great weekend!! Have a great Monday!! :-D *hugz*

Here is some of the ceremony for Vin: http://m.mlb.com/lad/video/topic/8911656/v1184499383/collad-dodgers-honor-vin-scully-in-pregame-ceremony/?c_id=la I'm sorry UTEP didn't do better. JMU had three penalties--not bad. I hope they will forget about going to the BCS because I fear they would be like UTEP, not really competitive. I watched some of the Florida State game and a little of the LSU game. I saw the Notre Dame score and was sad. I've enjoyed the Dodgers game--easy win. Their magic number is going to be one now. I hope they can win tomorrow and clinch for Vin's last home game. Have a good Sundog.

Do you know the collection of little towns between El Paso and Odessa? I was born between El Paso and Odessa. Times have changed alot. Even the hospital I was born in doesn't exist anymore. You know Marfa, Alpine? I was born around there. I finally got to see it again. I missed those big old black mesas.I love El Paso with those mountains in the middle of town. I heard there was a Kmart that closed or is closing. Is that the one on Montana? I hope not.

There was a ceremony for Vin before the game started with folks like the commissioner, Sandy Kofax, Kevin Costner, etc., speaking about Vin. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren had special seats on the field too. It was great but sad in a way because so many of us hate to see him go. He was his always gracious and humble self. John Williams created a special arrangement of the Anthem and conducted the orchestra that performed it. He is a friend of Vin's. Glad today went quickly, and although I know work goes more quickly when one is busy, I'm glad you have had some slower times. All that training on top of your other responsibilities was too much for anyone to keep doing constantly. I also hope for some good games tomorrow even though I won't be watching any of the late ones because of the baseball game. Thank you for the congrats! Have a good Caturday.

Thanks for the gratz! They are true proffessionals at decorating ;-) So they kept you busy again at work?! Getting things ready for an audit sounds a bit boring to me though ;-) I usualy get 'creative' when there's someting I want, and can't buy it. Because there's nothing like that around, or it's just to expencive. Like multicolored lampshades. That's when I start 'hobbying'. Or when things Ihave (like the coat rack) get to be boring, compared with the rest of my things. I don't have special weekend plans. We'll have to do the grocery shopping like always. How about you? The mall, and lunch/dinner? Any idea where, or what you'll be eating this weekend? I'm all caught up on The Strain. I've seen the first two epps of Blindspot on tv. It's interesting. I may follow that one on tv.... if I don't forget to watch ;-) How many more epps of GoT do you have to go to get caught up? You're right about TWD. It does drag too sometimes!! Have a great weekend!!! :-D *hugs*
