Ordinarily, I do not root for specific contestants during competitions (probably because I do not bet on them) but when last year's dog show aired, that changed! Like most viewers and spectators, I was very impressed when the Scotty, Lucy, took the ring and won Best of Show . She recently retired at the age of five, having won the Triple Crown and over a hundred Best of Breed. Audiences always loved her, and although I have never owned a terrier, I was was amazed at her cheerful disposition, her manners and wonderfully maintained coat. The dogs' personalities make it more interesting for me - I found out that much when a previous Best of Show, Jack (a beagle), won.
