tigger died of tongue cancer in 2010, she would have been 20 on march 18 of this year if she had still been alive. Molly adopted me that year. Patches had a stroke and I helped him over the bridge because he just was shaking and couldn't move his left front leg and his head was shaking even. when I looked in his face he just wasn't there. he was 15, almost 16 at the time. molly seemed confused/scared and was extra close to me for a while. I tried getting another cat but that one didn't work out at all with molly(the name "hurricane" should have tipped me off but I wanted a black kitteh) molly wouldn't come out from under the bed because hurricane was too hyper and jumping on her and wrestling. she ended up losing weight. they told me he got adopted back out the same day I took him back but I still feel bad about it, like having to choose between 2 kids. so I waited a while longer before getting dusty. he's hyper but not in the same way as hurricane was plus he's smaller. patches was my snuggle-muffin though, I miss him all the time. i miss tigger too but with patches i miss having him sleeping in bed right up by my head and purring, every time i sat on the couch he had to jump up there too, etc
aww, yeah they were very close. the dark one on the right was tigger and the white/dark on the left was patches. tigger was 2 years older and when patches adopted me tigger settled down. she was still active but not hyper like a kitten. if I had to guess i'd say less than 6 months and she was bathing him completely(tigger=girl, patches=boy). he would get in the shower with me every single day, even the day he came home with me. I don't think he ever actually bathed himself until he was 8 years or more because tigger bathed him every day multiple times a day lol. they did have their fights, patches ended up with a scar on his back in the shape of a mouth that never grew back the fur, but compared to the ones I have now, they were very very close. I never realized it until tigger went over the bridge and patches had so much trouble. I expected him to have a hard time but he did worse than I expected. then when I got molly, he hated her and do things like if she sat next to me he'd walk up and hit her on the head with his paw. molly isn't thrilled with dusty because she wants everything quiet and lots of naps
hai. you're yummy water is too wet lol...I had 2 kittehs that would drink running water from the faucet. as they got older they worked it out I guess because one would stick his head into the running water and drink it that way and then the other one would just drink it off of the first cat's head...if that makes sense. I'm trying to remember exactly how they did it and I think that was it. I have pictures on here of those 2 kittehs drinking running water in the tub
From Chris10a: from the moment she found out it was obvious why her energy levels were down so much. She has had her radiotherapy, is now on chemo, but the stroke is very bad news of course; likely to upset her treatment plan. She has been texting with Catsuberalles when she can, but.... She knows that I am collecting any and all lolz, messages for her on the DrTinyCatz profile (made a collection 'Sylvia'in the favorites), so when she is a bit better, she knows where to go for her hugs. Feel free to send any 'postcards to Sylvia' to DrTinyCatz. Here are Catsuberalles 'lolz to keep us all informed (in chronological order, newest last): http://cheezburger.com/8595110144 http://cheezburger.com/8599692032 http://cheezburger.com/8599692288 http://cheezburger.com/8601315584 Right after that lol we learned the blood clot was actually a mild stroke.
