How fascinating that must be. I always hanker to spend extended times in other regions, been chained to LaCounty all of my life, go couch surfing to learn about rest of US. Worked in Manila several times, 4 months in Michigan as a kid...That must be a tough place to live, Hope it's interesting.

As opposed to Chinese restaurants, mustard is not allways in plentiful supply. Quite a few like their food a little sweet, mustard is considered much to sour. That would be along the lines of Shandong cuisine. There are a lot of different cuisines here, but keep in mind, a lot changes once the Chinese hit the shores of the US and other countries. In other words, the food you see in the US can be quite a bit different than here. And here, wasabi is called mustard.

O yeshyeshyesh that face is "Flipper" who is a rescue in Colorado; paraplegic. Some hi-school kids in Conifer made a device for her to give her mobility--she runs til she pants, SO excited to be able to RUN, and the look on her face is to die for. Some cats faces just penetrate to my heart and hand in my minds eye for days!!! I put rainbow colors into her eyes. You can't see her ears, but she has the longest eartufts I have ever seen. I would adopt her in a second.

I imagine the night sky in the desert, once u get away from the big city, must be beautiful. Here along the I5 corridor with so many lights from so many towns and cities, one can only see the brightest stars. Of course, the obvious question is how Doha became ur home. I imagine they don't have a lot of spay and neuter emphasis there. Interesting on the winter cuz the rest of the world seems to be heating up whereas, ur having a little bit of cool down (relatively speaking :)

Happy Sunny Day. Yard work yesterday. How wonderful u gave them homes. They look pretty darn happy. I had to look up Doha - geographically challenged :) Do u live fairly close to the Gulf? I don't know if I could take the heat but I imagine one gets used to it. I don't know much about Middle East and animal companions. Do they have a lot of cats and dogs?
