Thanks, Millie. I'm cautiously optimistic, and I keep praying that all will be well. He's been there two weeks, and it will be great when he can come home. Even with the number that I have when one is missing, it is lonesome. I hope all is fine at your house. I love seeing LOLs with your furkids. You sure have some pretty babies. Hugs, Linda
I think of my friends often. When I come home from work at night I have all I can do to tend to the kitties, shower and eat. Im usually asleep by 9:30. The Kings Mountain is in North Carolina right by Charlotte. So far we have been lucky with just rain. Monday morning they are talking an AM mix. That's the worst time for me. If the winters were better here I would love to stay. According to the national weather map no one is safe anymore. I wanted to clean up the leaves in my yard but its only 41 for a high today. We got the cold early this year. I have a big acorn tree that is the last to drop its leaves. Half are on the ground the other half just mock me from the tree. I good north wind would blow them out of my yard but what do we get a south wind that evenly covers my entire yard. Your temperatures sound heavenly.
Sorry its been so long since we talked. Ive been thinking about you. My daughter drove to Kings Mountain to visit a friend of hers last month and wants to move there. As her only living relative (guess where my ex stands) she wants me to move there too. Fine with me but cant quite retire yet. I know I will miss the ocean and island living. She showed her friends a real estate book from here and they couldn't believe the prices. Believe it. Im dreading winter. Last year I was home recovering so I didn't have to go out. This year its not even winter and we have been on a rollercoaster of weather 6 to 50 degrees up and down. I see the ice storms and cringe. I hope everyone stays safe. I put my tree up today. So far no ones touched it. I expect that to change soon. Nothing breakable on my tree for these guys. Kitties I had in the past never bothered the tree but Rocky does and this is Tigers first Christmas here. How are you and your kitties doing. Sandy

Hi, Millie. I've been meaning to thank you for the Thanksgiving card. I hardly ever get real cards anymore, and I do love them. It was so thoughtful of you to send it. Things have been hectic here for over a month. This is C.B.'s third surgery, and I pray tha it is successful. If not, he will become septic which is usually fatal. He came through it okay and was awake when they called me this afternoon. I'll get an update in the morning. Thanks for all your good wishes. He needs them. Hugs, Linda
