Too many dang cats LOL Elder Shasta likes the kitten kibbles. I let her have what she ants because of her low weight issues. Doc put her on predisone and it is really helping with her appetite. She's been eating more each day than she has in a long time. Hope to get some weight back on her.

News from APC: Good morning, How you doing? How are the kitties? How you feeling? Been staying out of the hostitable? Thought I'd get an email out to you while Scott's sleeping. His white blood cell count has been up and down lately, but it could be due to the chemo. They did a full body bone scan on Thursday just to make sure there was no infections. There was nothing wrong, so that was a relief. We're still waiting to get on the 5th floor -Rehabilitation floor. Found out the doctor arranged for OHIP (Ontario health insurance) to cover the cost of the expensive drug while Scott's in the hospital. But if he still needs it when he can go home we have to pay 20% of the cost. Scott's work insurance covers 80%. Now are you sitting down? This shot costs $1600! The one nurse in chemo said they'll try getting us some financial assistance if Scott does have to take this med. it would only last until he finishes with his chemo treatments, thank goodness. Well that's all the excitement for now. Oh Scott's Mum is doing okay in the retirement home that Scott's sister put her in, while they went on holidays. Not sure if I told you but Scott's Mum isn't doing the best. Her short-term memory is shot and she can't drive any more. We're trying to arrange some help for her around the house, so she can live at home. We'll have Meals On Wheels come in during the week and unplug her stove. We're afraid she'll leave something on the stove and start a fire. Always something, eh. Well I'll let you go. Miss ya, tons! *POLAR BEAR HUGS*=

Some cats are just not cuddlers. Doesn't mean they don't love you, they just need way more space than the average cat. But I am glad for you that Dusty is. And I agree that as he gets older and mellows out, molly will accept him more and more. But enjoy the kittenhood - they grow up too dang fast!

It was truly an honor to do that for you and patches. I ill fave it to DrTinycatz to add to the Memorial site. Dusy is still being a teenager a Bryan and I all them unti the're about 1 year old :) Not a computer tech but I do;t see why you can't transfer pics from a CD to a puter as long as it had a disc drive. Having a therapist that has cats is a big plus because they understand th attachment and the ways of cats in general. Brodie is the face rubber in our family. Happy Sunny Day

I'm kinda partial to Collard myself, he is such a sweet, loving laid back boy. Isn't it funny how all cats have different personalities, likes and dislikes. I have probably had at least a hundred cats in my lifetime and not two were alike. I know you miss Patches very much and I know how you feel, they all have a special place in our hearts. Don't worry about sending me long messages, I enjoy hearing from you.

Just got home to email from our buddy APC: News from LilAPC!!! Hey babe, How you doing? You taking care of yourself? How are the little ones? Damn I miss spending time with you!! Scott's doing okay, they're happy with how the chemo's going. It is helping to destroy the cancer and get rid of the fluid in his lung. Luckily there's no need to put a chest tube in again. I'm happy about that, once was enough. I hated seeing him with all those tubes in him. He's looking better - not as much bruising and red (blood) spots on his arms. All the swelling has gone done too, his right arm looks normal again. That's another sign that the lymph nodes are getting smaller/being destroyed by the chemo. His next treatment is on Friday. Saturday he had a bit of a fever and they had an x-Ray done. The doctor said it looked better then the last x-Ray, and there was no problem. Guess they wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with his lung. They don't want Scott catching pneumonia, so they keep a close eye on him. Not sure why the fever, but it was gone in a few hours. But the good news is that they want to move him down to the 5th floor which is Rehabilitation. They now say he just has to work on getting his strength back and he can go home. Yesterday the two physio girls got him to stand up and with a walker for support, he was able to turn sideways and sit down in a wheelchair. It took a lot for him to do it, but it was a huge step! When he got out of Critical Care he couldn't even lift his head, roll on his side, or move his legs. Thank everyone for all the prayers, beams, and crossed fingers, they sure help. Plus we've enjoyed all the lolz that Cheezfrends have e-mailed us. I'm trying to slowly answer them. Forgive me guys if it takes a while. We'll I have to get my butt moving, got to get back to the hospital. Oh Scott's eating better. Not the hospital junk, but food that I take in, and we're giving Timmy's a lot of business. Scott enjoys a Ice Capp every day LOL. Oh he's down to 185lbs, but as he builds up his strength he'll gain weight. He looks so thin - skin and bones, but I know that'll change once he's out of the hospital. Say hi to everyone, miss you oh so much, *POLAR BEAR HUGS* Patty=
