Okay, that worked ;) What I said in the other msg was that car manufacturers sent the service engine soon lights to go off when the vehicle reaches certain mileage. I want to say 50K but that's a guess. It is so ALL cars are "checked" for emission controls!! A very honest mechanic told me that. All that has to be done is for them to RESET THE BUTTON on the emission control valve. My daughter was freaking out when hers came on and she took it in and was told she needed blah blah blah done. I had her go to a different place and TELL them to reset it. The guy looked very sheepish, reset it and she had no more problems :) Of couse there is no way to say for sure if yours is okay. But if you get it to someone you can TRUST, you maybe would want to check it out. We ALL get that sinking feeling in the pit of our stomach when that nasty light comes on!!
